Responsibilities:

• Manage insurance defense litigation matters independently from inception through resolution.
• Draft high-quality pleadings, substantive motions, and comprehensive discovery requests.
• Conduct and defend depositions of plaintiffs, key witnesses, and expert presenters.
• Attend court hearings, mediations, and arbitrations, and maintain direct communication with insurance carriers.

Qualifications:

• J.D. from an accredited law school and an active, good-standing license with the Illinois Bar (ARDC).
• 3+ years of dedicated insurance defense or civil litigation experience.
• Strong legal writing skills and the confidence to handle court appearances and depositions independently.

Salary and Other Compensation:

The annual salary for this position is between $130,000 – $160,000 . xrczosw Factors which may affect pay within this range may include geography/market, skills, education, experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
