Job Title: Systems Engineer (2nd Shift)Job Description

We are looking for a talented Systems Engineer to support our MineStar Fleet Application, which enables autonomous trucks and staff vehicles. You will work primarily as a test engineer, engaging in IT software tasks to manage productivity and data at worksites. This role involves administering a large number of Virtual Machines using VMWare to simulate work-site environments, and upgrading systems to Windows 2022.

Responsibilities

• Support the MineStar Fleet Application to manage productivity and data at mining sites.

• Act as a test engineer focusing on IT software.

• Utilize VMWare to manage and administer approximately 1000 Virtual Machines.

• Conduct testing using simulators to mimic real mining site conditions.

• Administer and upgrade systems, including migrating to Windows 2022.

• Develop and execute test plans and debug software issues.

• Operate within an isolated VLAN, dedicated to the team's network infrastructure.

Essential Skills

• 5 years of experience in relevant fields.

• Experience in developing and executing test plans.

• Proficiency in debugging and working with Software in the Loop (SIL).

• Experience with IT software, specifically VMWare.

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering.

• Proficiency in Python and IP Networking.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree is required.

• Must be willing to work onsite fully.

Work Environment

The position is fully onsite, working the 2nd shift from 12 PM to 10 PM, four days a week. You will be part of an isolated VLAN network, specifically dedicated to the team. The work involves using both Windows Server OS and Linux, and engaging with autonomy onboard software.

This is a Contract position based out of Chillicothe, IL.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $55.00 - $60.00/hr.
