Surgical Services Registered Nurse (RN)
Full-Time | Monday–Friday | 10-Hour Shifts | Gateway Regional Medical Center
Gateway Regional Medical Center is hiring a Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Surgical Services team.
This role is ideal for a nurse who enjoys perioperative care, values teamwork in a fast-paced environment, and is committed to delivering safe, high-quality patient care throughout the surgical experience.
What You'll DoIn this role, you will provide comprehensive nursing care for patients in the pre-operative and post-operative phases, including:
- Performing patient assessments and supporting surgical preparation
- Monitoring patients before and after surgical procedures
- Interpreting patient data and responding appropriately to changes in condition
- Supporting safe, evidence-based perioperative nursing care
- Collaborating with surgeons, anesthesia providers, and surgical teams
- Ensuring accurate documentation and adherence to clinical protocols
- Promoting patient safety and positive surgical outcomes
- Full-time, Monday–Friday
- 10-hour shifts
- Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing (RN required)
- Current Illinois RN license
- Current BLS certification required
- ACLS required
- PALS required within 3 months of hire
- Minimum 1 year of medical-surgical nursing experience required
- Critical care experience preferred
- Competitive pay: $32.00–$48.00/hr
