Property and Casualty Compliance Analyst

Job Description:
Our client, a leading insurance organization, is seeking a Compliance Analyst for a temp-to-hire opportunity in Illinois with the option to work from home after training. This role will be responsible for staying current on industry standards and regulations, particularly related to total loss claims and states’ Fair Claims Practices Acts. The Compliance Analyst will serve as a subject matter expert on total loss, salvage and title laws across a wide range of vehicle types, including private passenger autos, trailers, RVs, motorcycles, boats, ATVs, snowmobiles, farm equipment, construction equipment, commercial vehicles and commercial trucking.

Responsibilities:

• Researching industry compliance regulations and policies
• Ensuring total loss claims for personal and commercial lines are compliant with legal and regulatory requirements
• Developing and updating comprehensive guidelines aligning with regulatory requirements concerning vehicle and specialty vehicle total loss claims
• Analyzing and updating existing total loss and compliance policies
• Communicating compliance policies and guidelines to management, internal team members, and clients
• Developing and maintaining total loss requirements by state for various vehicle types including private passenger autos, trailers, RVs, motorcycles, boats, ATVs, snowmobiles, farm equipment, construction equipment, commercial vehicles and commercial trucking
• Training employees and customers on industry compliance requirements
• Maintaining communication with regulators and other entities, which may include Department of Motor Vehicles, Department of Natural Resources, Department of Parks and others
• Keeping up with compliance requirements and amendments to regulations

Requirements:

• Previous experience in determining regulatory applicability regarding taxes and fees payable in a total loss for personal and commercial lines
• In-depth knowledge of industry compliance and total loss requirements and standards
• Exceptional ability to formulate compliance and total loss policies, procedures, and related documentation
• Knowledge of laws and regulations as it applies to the auto insurance industry
• Technical knowledge of total loss processes, including tax/fee management for personal and commercial lines
• Prior experience communicating with regulatory bodies, including the DOI, DMV, DNR and others regarding compliance with personal and commercial total loss regulations
• Strong understanding of legal, regulatory and compliance requirements

Pay Range:
The anticipated pay range for this position is $40- $45 per hour.

The final pay for this position is determined based on several factors including but not limited to, relevant experience, skills and certifications, education and training, geographic location, market conditions, and internal equity.
