Business Systems Developer

BeMobile is proud to be Verizon’s Mid-Major Agent of the Year for both 2022 and 2023! We are currently seeking a Business Systems Developer to join our team in Peoria, IL. In this role, you will lead and execute technical projects that align with and support strategic objectives across departments and the organization as a whole.

Key Responsibilities:

• Acting as a liaison between business users and IT to understand operational needs.


• Translating business needs into detailed specifications and executable project plans.


• Independently developing solutions, including system configuration, report building, and
  automation using approved tools or platforms


• Executing system testing and quality checks to ensure functionality meets requirements


• Collaborating with end users to confirm solutions are practical, effective, and user-
  friendly

Documentation & Quality Assurance:

• The Business Systems Developer creates and maintains accurate project documentation throughout the solution lifecycle.


• This includes:
  • Creating user stories, process flows, and technical documentation as needed
  • Developing testing procedures and personally executing QA for developed solutions
  • Supporting system validation through structured end-user testing and feedback
  collection

Systems Efficiency & Continuous Improvement:

• This role proactively seeks opportunities to improve BeMobile's systems and workflows by:


• Gaining a deep understanding of company systems and identifying pain points


• Researching and recommending improvements based on business needs and technical
  feasibility


• Monitoring implemented changes to measure their effectiveness and drive future
  enhancements

Cross-Functional Collaboration & Communication:

• Success in this role depends on effective collaboration across departments, including: Serving as a key point of contact between business units and IT


• Presenting ideas and findings in a clear, concise, and user-friendly manner


• Advising departments on best practices for system use and integration

Qualifications & Skills:

• Bachelor's Degree in relevant field or 2-3 years equivalent experience.


• Possesses a working knowledge of computer systems and databases, with the ability to apply this understanding in a practical environment.


• Experience managing websites and web infrastructure, including WordPress, JavaScript, hosting environments, and web security practices.


• Working knowledge of firewall administration, VPN setup, network access control, and SD-WAN platforms (e.g., Cisco Meraki).


• Experience administering Google Workspace (formerly G Suite), including user management, group settings, and organizational policies.


• Strong functional expertise in Excel and Google Sheets, with experience in advanced formulas and VBA or Google Apps Script.

Travel Requirements: Periodic travel may be required for this position. This includes, but is not
limited to, alternate BeMobile locations, company trainings, meetings, industry events, or as
directed by your supervisor.

Compensation: $80,000.00 per year
