Job Description

The Inspector Packer is responsible for manually loading, packing, sorting, and transporting materials and products. The role requires hand-stacking finished goods, organizing boxes into patterns, setting up and changing film rolls on automated packaging machinery, and palletizing product cartons for disposal and staging. Additionally, the position involves cleaning production equipment, work areas, and trenches, and collecting and disposing of scrap, dust, and debris, as well as performing general cleaning and recycling tasks.

Responsibilities

• Manually load, pack, sort, and transport materials and products.
• Hand-stack finished goods and organize boxes into patterns.
• Set up and change film rolls on automated packaging machinery.
• Palletize product cartons for disposal and staging.
• Clean production equipment, work areas, and trenches.
• Collect and dispose of scrap, dust, and debris; perform general cleaning and recycling tasks.

Essential Skills

• Experience in production, packing, and packaging environments.
• Proficiency in operating in a fast-paced production line.
• Skills in picking, general labor, loading, material handling, and using a pallet jack.
• Experience with RF scanners, inventory management, order picking, and unloading.
• Ability to perform palletizing, labeling, stacking, inspection, and sorting.
• Capability to handle heavy lifting and adhere to GMP standards.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Demonstrated ability to observe, follow, understand, and evaluate workplace procedures.
• Capability to meet safety and quality standards.
• Ability to work independently with proficiency in English.
• Prior manufacturing experience is preferred.

This is a Contract position based out of Chicago, IL.

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $22.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.

This is a fully onsite position in Chicago,IL.
