Corporate Finance Paralegal – Boutique Chicago Law Firm (Hybrid)

Role Overview

You will support a busy commercial finance practice, working alongside attorneys and other support staff to facilitate complex transactions for lenders and borrowers.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with closing documentation and due diligence for commercial lending and corporate financial transactions
• Draft and revise loan agreements, amendments, and ancillary documents
• Conduct UCC searches and filings
• Assist attorneys with structuring loan packages, document organization, and transaction checklists
• Manage closing books and post-closing processes
• Interact professionally with internal team members, clients, and third parties
• Bill time for work produced (no strict billing minimums; focus is on quality output)

Desired Qualifications

• 3–5+ years of experience as a Paralegal, preferably supporting commercial finance or corporate transactions
• Background in a law firm, bank, or investment environment strongly preferred
• Skilled in document management software and Microsoft Office suite
• Excellent organization, attention to detail, and communication skills
• Bachelor’s degree and/or paralegal certificate required

Compensation & Benefits

• Competitive salary: $80,000–$100,000+ DOE
• Annual discretionary bonus

• Flexible hybrid schedule: 3 days in-office, 2 days WFH (initial training period is fully in-office; hybrid structure varies week-to-week based on team needs)
