We are seeking a compassionate and motivated Residential Supervisor to lead daily operations within our residential programs while mentoring and supporting a team of Direct Support Professionals (DSPs).

SCHEDULE AND COMPENSATION:

  • Full-time, 40 hours per week.
  • Days/hours vary based on needs of department.
  • Salary range: $24.00-$25.00/hr (hourly/non-exempt)
  • Salary based on skills and experience.
  • Up to 6% annual bonus potential.
  • 403b retirement plan with up to a 4% company match.

WHAT YOU'LL DO:

  • Lead Residential Operations
  • Oversee daily operations of assigned residential homes (CILAs).
  • Ensure individuals receive high-quality, person-centered support.
  • Promote safety, dignity, and independence for those we serve.
  • Support emergency response procedure and ensure program compliance.
  • Coach and Support Your Team
  • Supervise, mentor, and train Direct Support Professionals (DSPs).
  • Provide ongoing coaching, feedback, and monthly supervision.
  • Help foster a positive, collaborative team culture aligned with Helping Hand values.
  • Coordinate Care and Program Success
  • Manage staffing schedules and provide shift coverage as needed.
  • Monitor documentation, reporting, and compliance requirements.
  • Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings and individualized planning.
  • Support new client transitions and program development.
  • Ensure Quality and Compliance
  • Maintain regulatory standards (CARF, DHS, agency policies, etc.).
  • Monitor safety practices, documentation accuracy, and program outcomes.
  • Support staff development and ongoing training requirements.

Requirements:

WHAT YOU BRING:

Education:

  • High School Diploma or GED required.

Experience:

  • Two (2) years of experience working with the intellectual and developmental disability population.
  • Previous supervisory experience preferred.

Skill Sets:

  • Ability to fulfill all necessary training requirements of the agency, including but not limited to crisis management (crisis management training includes de-escalation strategies and physical management techniques) and DSP training within 90 days of hire, if applicable.
  • Proficient and comfortable working with technology such as Microsoft Office, Teams, Zoom, etc.
  • Exceptional problem-solving and time management skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills and ability to multitask and prioritize multiple urgencies as required.
  • Exceptional interpersonal communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record and ongoing motor vehicle insurance.
  • Must be able to meet all PACE certification requirements.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

  • The person in this position needs to occasionally move about to assist clients, access file cabinets, office machinery, etc.
  • The person in this position may encounter clients exhibiting physical aggression; they must be comfortable working in periods of crisis and feel comfortable de-escalating individually or as a team.
  • The ability to observe details at a close range (within a few feet of the observer).
  • Consistently position self to maintain files in file cabinets or assist clients/students.
  • The ability to communicate information and ideas so that others will understand. Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations.
  • Flexibility to work at any assigned HH site.
