Position: Instrumentation Technician I Location: North Chicago, IL 60064 Duration: 6 Months Job Type: Temporary Assignment Work Type: Onsite Job Description: The Instrumentation Technician will maintain, calibrate, service, troubleshoot and repair measuring and test equipment (M&TE), process instrumentation, production equipment controls, analytical field equipment, and process control systems used in utilities and facilities areas. Will be required to work on a variety of electrical, electronic, mechanical, process control systems, and or online process analytical equipment of M&TE. Responsibilities : Performs troubleshooting and repairs on all types of M&TE. Processes electronic work orders, house requisitions, miscellaneous purchase orders and various other administrative activities that support daily job functions. Perform preventive maintenance tasks on a large variety of equipment including transmitters, analytical instruments, and various process instrumentation Work with electrical equipment up to and including 480V. Develops recommendations for solving M&TE electrical, controls, hardware and measurement problems. Develop techniques as necessary to ascertain that newly acquired or developed M&TE performs in accordance with required specifications. Ensures that GxP and safe work policies and procedures are followed and maintained at all times in accordance with established company policies. Other responsibilities and duties as assigned by Supervisor. Qualifications: Knowledge and ability to use basic power tools and ability to apply proper hand and measuring tools in an industrial setting.
