Bartender
Job Overview
Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages to guests at the bar and for service tickets
- Follow all Green Gables drink recipes, portioning, and presentation standards
- Provide fast, accurate service during high-volume periods
- Maintain a clean, organized, and fully stocked bar at all times
- Check IDs and ensure compliance with all alcohol service laws and policies
- Handle cash, tabs, and POS transactions accurately
- Communicate effectively with servers and kitchen staff to ensure smooth service
- Monitor guest behavior and promote a safe, welcoming environment
- Assist with opening and closing duties, including restocking and cleaning
Skills
- Strong knowledge of classic cocktails, beer, and wine
- Ability to multitask and stay organized in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Attention to detail and commitment to quality and consistency
- Basic math and cash handling skills
- Ability to remain calm under pressure
- Time management and prioritization skills
- Familiarity with POS systems (or willingness to learn quickly)
