Billing Clerk

Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Billing Clerk to join our team in Saddle Brook, New Jersey. This long-term contract position offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to our billing operations by managing invoicing, processing payments, and ensuring accuracy in financial records. The role is in-office. Responsibilities: - Prepare, review, and process invoices to ensure timely and accurate billing. - Upload and manage invoices in the organization's billing system. - Maintain up-to-date and organized billing records for easy reference. - Utilize tools like Excel and their in-house system to support billing operations. - Collaborate with other departments to address and resolve billing discrepancies. - Generate and distribute billing statements to customers as needed. - Assist in the collection of outstanding payments and follow up on overdue accounts. - Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures related to billing. - Support the transition of billing processes to updated systems, if applicable. - Provide excellent customer service by addressing billing-related inquiries efficiently. Requirements - A minimum of 2 years of experience in billing, invoicing, or related roles. - Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and familiarity with other software's. - Strong understanding of computerized billing systems and processes. - Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills. - Effective communication skills for interacting with team members and clients. - Ability to resolve billing discrepancies and manage payment collections. - Experience in generating and managing billing statements. - Capability to work independently and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
