This opportunity seeks a skilled pharmacist with a focus on inpatient hospital pharmacy services. The position requires handling typical inpatient duties such as medication verification, supervising pharmacy technicians, and conducting intravenous medication checks. The role involves working a mix of day and evening shifts, including rotating weekends, providing a dynamic and collaborative hospital environment.

Responsibilities:

• Verify and check inpatient medication orders for accuracy and safety
• Supervise pharmacy technicians ensuring compliance with hospital protocols
• Perform IV medication checks in accordance with hospital standards
• Utilize the EPIC electronic medical record system for documentation and communication
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals to optimize patient care

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 1 year recent experience in inpatient hospital pharmacy
• Licensed pharmacist with a valid Illinois license
• Proficiency with EPIC EMR system preferred
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent communication and supervisory skills

Location: Orland Park, Illinois

Schedule:

• Rotating mix of days and evenings
• Rotating weekends

This is a 13-week contract position starting March 23. Candidates must act quickly to be considered.
