Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

Two full-time Special Education Teacher positions are available in an elementary school setting for students in grades K-5. This contract role is based in Aurora, IL, and focuses on a self-contained classroom environment dedicated to supporting students with autism.

Responsibilities include managing a caseload of 6-8 students and collaborating closely with two paraprofessionals to deliver individualized instruction and support. The role requires creating and implementing educational plans tailored to the unique needs of each student, as well as maintaining thorough documentation and progress tracking.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Active Illinois Licensed Behavior Specialist I (LBSI) certification
• Experience working with elementary-aged students in self-contained special education classrooms
• Familiarity with autism spectrum disorder and related instructional strategies
• Ability to effectively collaborate within a multidisciplinary team
