The Director of Grant Strategy provides strategic leadership and execution of fundraising initiatives related to local, state, federal and foundational grants. This position is responsible for identifying, soliciting, writing and securing grants from federal, state and foundation sources in alignment with the University's Capital Campaign goals. Serving as a key liaison across departments, the role ensures grant compliance and is the primary contact with McAllister & Quinn, managing consulting relationships to maximize funding opportunities. This is a full-time, 12 month position. While the position is intended to be on-campus, hybrid work may be considered. Responsibilities :

• Grant Strategy & Writing; identify federal, state, local and foundational grant opportunities that align with institutional priorities; write, edit, submit competitive grant proposals, narratives and supporting documentation; coordinate with internal constituents to ensure high-quality submissions
• Fundraising and Campaign Support; set and meet annual production goals for grant submissions and awards; work in partnership with Advancement staff to align grant strategies with priorities; cultivate and steward relationships with funding partners; work across all giving avenues, including outright, expendable, endowed, and deferred
• Grants management; remain current on regulatory requirements for state and federal funds; ensure the IWU Grants policies are up to date, compliant, and shared with all individuals involved in grant execution; administer IWU Grants policies and provide training, as needed; ensure funds are managed appropriately and in compliance with grantee terms; serve as institutional AOR/SRO for granting agencies
• Post-award management; ensure reporting deadlines are recorded and shared with appropriate constituents; work with Business office and Principal Investigator (PI) to ensure reports are completed and submitted on time; establish and oversee grant budgets worksheets; reconcile with PI and Business Office periodically; maintain appropriate records related to grant seeking efforts on behalf of the institution and individual investigators; approve grant expenditures in collaboration with Business Office
• Federal and state compliance; follow and implement 2 CRF part 200 Uniformed Administrative Guidance Regulations; assist in federal and state audit process; respond to audit findings; manage and review subcontract agreements, including processes and stipend payments
• Collaborate with contracted partners; serve as the liaison for McAllister & Quinn, coordinating external partnerships and consultation; partner with academic departments, athletics, admissions and administrative units to identify funding needs across campus

Requirements :

• Bachelor’s required; Master’s preferred
• 3-5 years of related grants and foundations relations experience
• Knowledge of regulatory policies related to state and federal funding, grants and budget management
