OVERVIEW

Position Title: Assistant Superintendents II

Location: Various and unanticipated worksites throughout the U.S. (HQ: Chicago, IL)

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:

Archer Western Construction LLC seeks Assistant Superintendents II for various and unanticipated worksites throughout the U.S. (HQ: Chicago, IL). Assist superintendent with the daily execution of projects and the supervision of trades personnel. Coordinate and communicate engineering and layout schedule needs and construction schematics to project teams. Determine subcontractor schedules as well as materials, equipment, and personnel needs on projects. Maintain accurate and efficient scheduling of crews. Oversee Safety planning and ensure that it is completed and followed, including JHAs, daily THAs and REAP. Technical environment: selection/supervision/training of trades personnel; safety planning (JHAs, daily THAs, REAP); Primavera; surveying; surveying/design software programs; roadway construction; earthmoving quality control (soil density/compaction, soil testing); roadbase/subbase preparation; drainage systems; erosion control (slopes, excavation areas); heavy machinery operation; budget control; subcontractor oversight; material supply supervision.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Engineering or related field plus 4 years of experience in construction management of large-scale projects required. Required skills: selection/supervision/training of trades personnel; safety planning (JHAs, daily THAs, REAP); Primavera; surveying; surveying/design software programs; roadway construction; earthmoving quality control (soil density/compaction, soil testing); roadbase/subbase preparation; drainage systems; erosion control (slopes, excavation areas); heavy machinery operation; budget control; subcontractor oversight; material supply supervision. ( Also acceptable in lieu of Bachelor's degree and 4 years of experience: 6 years of experience in construction management of large-scale projects required). $142,646-$155,000/yr.
