Firefighter Paramedic

Fontana Fire Department is establishing a one-year eligibility list for full time firefighter/paramedic. Fontana FD is a combination full-time, part-time, and paid-on-call Department providing emergency services to the Villages of Fontana, Walworth Township, and Williams Bay (EMS) with approximately 6,400 full-time residents and large seasonal increase. Fontana Fire Department responds to approximately 950 emergency calls per year in addition to providing public education, fire inspections, CPR training, and public assistance

2026 Full-Time Hourly Rate – $26.57 - 29.76 ($68,616 to $77,078 annual)

Fulltime Employee Schedule and Benefits

· Schedules - 24 hours on / 48 hours off with one 24-hour Kelly shift off per 27-day cycle.

Minimum Qualifications include:

• Wisconsin Firefighter I Certification
• Wisconsin Paramedic
• Valid Driver's License
• Successfully pass a pre-employment physical, drug screen & background check
• At least 18 years of age

Preferred Certifications:

· Emergency Vehicle Operator Certification (CEVO, EVOC) – Required after hire

• Driver/Operator-Pumper Certification
• Driver/Operator-Aerial Certification
• Wisconsin Firefighter II Certification
• Wisconsin Fire Inspector Certification
• Wisconsin Fire Officer I Certification
