Corporate Accountant Jr
Job Responsibilities:
- Support corporate accounting and financial reporting activities
- Prepare and maintain accounting work papers, disclosures, and accounting memos
- Ensure compliance with GAAP, FASB regulations, and SOX requirements
- Analyze financial data and provide accurate reporting and documentation
- Assist with month-end, quarter-end, and year-end accounting processes
- Support internal and external audit activities and compliance reviews
- Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes through technology and automation
- Participate in special projects and process improvement initiatives
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure financial accuracy and compliance
- Maintain high standards of quality, integrity, and professionalism in all accounting activities
Skills:
- Strong knowledge of Accounting principles, GAAP, FASB standards, and SOX compliance
- Experience preparing accounting documentation, disclosures, and technical memos
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Financial reporting and audit support experience
- Ability to evaluate complex financial data and exercise sound judgment
- Experience leveraging technology to improve operational efficiency
- Effective project management and organizational skills
- Strong communication, teamwork, and leadership abilities
- High attention to detail with a commitment to accuracy
- Professional demeanor with strong interpersonal skills
Education/Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or equivalent required
- CPA preferred
- 2–4 years of accounting experience within a large public company or auditing large public companies
- Experience with financial reporting, compliance, and accounting operations
- Demonstrated understanding of accounting regulations, controls, and best practices
