Job Description

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Manufacturing Design Engineer with the ability to work independently and manage projects with a strong priority mindset. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills and the ability to work cross-functionally while maintaining high levels of detailed documentation. A genuine passion for rockets and aerospace is essential, coupled with the capability to take direction and execute tasks efficiently.

Responsibilities

• Manage and execute complex projects from design through implementation.
• Work cross-functionally to ensure project success and adherence to timelines.
• Document processes and maintain high standards of quality assurance.
• Develop and implement extraction systems for core tooling removal, including controls.
• Ensure uniform coating adherence and durability under extreme conditions.
• Implement safety protocols for high-risk aerospace operations.

Essential Skills

• 2.5+ years of experience in Design and Manufacturing.
• Proficiency in mechanical design and analysis specific to aerospace applications.
• Strong understanding of load analysis, structural integrity, and system integration.
• Knowledge of thermal and ignition properties of solid rocket motor chemicals.
• Familiarity with coating technologies, including aerospace component applications such as thermal coatings.
• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, preferably Mechanical or Aerospace.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Familiarity with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
• Experience in detailed documentation, testing, and quality assurance processes.
• Capability to ensure uniform coating adherence and durability under extreme conditions.
• Proficiency in implementing safety protocols for aerospace operations.

Work Environment

This position is located onsite at the McHenry, MS location. Candidates must be willing to work fully onsite, with no options for remote or hybrid work.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Mc Henry, MS.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $40.00 - $73.00/hr.
