Life doesnt always follow a fixed schedule. Thats why we created the Security Officer Part Time Enhanced position: a flexible dependable option for individuals looking to supplement their income gain hands-on experience or work toward a full-time career with the industry leader.

As a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Day Patrol in Chicago IL this role is designed to provide reliable consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking-up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $20.80 / Hour

04:00 PM - 12:00 AM

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment (Anchor Shifts): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift you may pick-up extra shifts through our scheduling platform allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part-time hours this week and full-time the next. Its all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part-time employment with flexibility income stability and opportunities to build-up to a full-time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to clients visitors and employees by carrying out security-related procedures site-specific policies and/or emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Respond to incidents alarms and critical situations in a calm problem-solving manner documenting observations and reporting concerns to site contacts and/or Allied Universal leadership.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the location including building interiors exterior grounds parking areas entry points and perimeter zones helping to identify unusual activity and/or potential issues.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity verify credentials when required and support security-related screening and entry procedures in a professional manner.
• Assist with site-specific operations within a technology-focused location including observing equipment areas reporting maintenance or environmental concerns and communicating status updates related to security-related matters.

Minimum Requirements:

• Client requires proof of high school diploma or GED.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Alarm panel experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 years of age for armed roles.
• As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal state and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
