OPEN JOB: Pharmacist In Charge Retail Pharmacy
Location:Galena Illinois
SALARY: $150000 to $160000

Description

• The pharmacy is closed on the weekends and most major holidays.
• Work Hours-9:00AM-5:30PM (Pharmacy will close 12:30-1:00PM for Lunch
• On-Site Parking Available !!!

Primary Role:

• Preparing and dispensing appropriate pharmaceuticals to patients leading a team of pharmacy technicians and managing the overall day-to day pharmacy responsibilities.
  

Essential Job Functions:

• Review and execute providers prescriptions checking their appropriateness and legality
• Organize the pharmacy in an efficient manner to make the identification of products easier and faster
• Maintain full control over medication inventory stocking and labeling medicine and other products and monitor their condition to prevent expiring or deterioration
• Listen carefully to customers to interpret their needs and issues and offer information and advice.
• Prepare medicine when appropriate using correct dosages and material for each individual patient
• Maintain patient profiles and history of all activities regarding medications dispensed
• Keep abreast and stay current with HIPAA and Frauds Waste and Abuse credentialing
• Comply with all applicable legal rules regulations and procedures
• Responsible for ensuring that the Pharmacy and its employees are compliant with Federal State and Local laws regulated
• Ensures that the Pharmacy and its employees are aware and compliant with local facilities policies
• Responsible for directing the daily work of Pharmacy Technicians this includes providing input into performance evaluations and advising Senior Management of any behavioral and/or performance issues.
• Responsible for managing the Pharmacy Technicians schedules. This includes advising Senior Management of any request for leave of absences or medical accommodations.
• Other duties as necessary

IDEAL CANDIDATE

• Doctorate of Pharmacy Degree
• Candidates should have min. 3 years pharmacy manager experience.
• Candidate should have previous retail pharmacy experience to be considered.
• MUST HAVE AN ACTIVE Pharmacist License within the state of Illinois we cannot consider anyone that is in process of getting their license and or have not received their license.
