Senior Talent & Development Specialist
Location: Deerfield, Illinois -Hybrid (3x a week onsite)
Job Type: Full-Time
Pay: $40-$52 / hour
Benefits: This position is eligible for medical, dental, vision, and 401(k).
Job Summary
Addison Group is partnering with our client to hire a Senior Talent & Development Specialist to join a collaborative and fast-paced HR organization. This role is a key contributor within Learning & Development and Talent Management, providing operational, analytical, and system support that drives employee growth, engagement, and organizational effectiveness.
This position works closely with HR Centers of Excellence (COEs), HR Business Partners, and cross-functional teams to administer, track, measure, and continuously enhance talent and learning initiatives. The ideal candidate brings strong project management skills, a data-driven mindset, and hands-on experience supporting talent programs through HR systems.
Key Responsibilities
Talent Management Operations
- Lead the operational execution of the annual performance management cycle.
- Support Talent Review and Succession Planning processes.
- Administer employee engagement surveys, assessments, and related tools.
- Ensure accurate timelines, system readiness, and stakeholder communication throughout talent cycles.
Learning & Development Support
- Manage course enrollments and learning logistics to ensure smooth delivery.
- Maintain and update learning catalogs and training offerings.
- Coordinate schedules and ensure timely execution of learning sessions.
Reporting, Data & Analytics
- Produce recurring reports related to talent and learning initiatives.
- Analyze data trends and provide actionable insights to inform strategy and decision-making.
- Present findings and dashboards to HR partners and leadership as needed.
Systems & Platform Administration
- Administer and support HR technology platforms, including performance, talent, and engagement systems.
- Maintain system accuracy, troubleshoot issues, and partner with internal teams to enhance functionality.
- Support platforms such as performance management, engagement tools, mentoring platforms, and compensation-related systems.
Vendor & Stakeholder Management
- Manage relationships with external vendors and platform providers.
- Ensure vendors meet service expectations, timelines, and deliverables.
- Partner cross-functionally to support system integrations and process improvements.
Process Documentation & Enablement
- Create and maintain job aids, guides, and training materials to support program adoption.
- Deliver system or process training sessions for HR partners as needed.
- Review, update, and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to promote consistency and operational efficiency.
Qualifications
- Experience supporting talent management and/or learning & development programs.
- Strong project management and organizational skills.
- Analytical mindset with experience working with HR data and reporting.
- Hands-on experience with HR systems (e.g., performance management, engagement, mentoring, or compensation tools).
- Ability to collaborate effectively with HR partners and cross-functional teams.
- Excellent attention to detail and process orientation.
- Strong communication and documentation skills.
