UI Engineer

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

• The primary purpose of this role is to provide independent contributions to UI/front-end design and development of modern, cloud-based, customer-facing web applications by collaborating with architects, front-end and back-end teams, Product Owners/Product Managers, Scrum Masters, and Engineering Managers.
• Responsible for solution design aligned with modern UI best practices, hands-on code development, and management of technical debt (e.g., pull requests, performance optimization, UX improvements, Storybook and reusable components, non-functional requirements), as well as leading proofs of concept (POCs) or major spikes and refining requirements into technical features and user stories.
• Collaborate with front-end and back-end leads and teams, end-to-end architects, Product Owners/Product Managers, Scrum Masters, and Engineering Managers.
• Design, develop, deploy, and maintain intuitive, high-performance user interfaces.
• Support integration and development of Grafana visualizations.
• Work within an Agile framework (preferably Scrum) alongside multiple cross-functional teams.

Requirements

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

• Bachelor’s and/or Master’s degree in Computer Science.
• 5–7 years of relevant professional experience in a similar capacity.

REQUIRED SKILLS:

• Design, develop, deploy, and maintain intuitive and high-performance user interfaces.
• Support integration and development of Grafana visualizations.
• Work within an Agile framework (preferably Scrum) alongside multiple cross-functional teams.
• Strong understanding and/or hands-on experience with the following technologies and concepts:
• UI middleware and mocking tools such as Redux-Saga and Mirage JS.
• Experience using API development and testing tools such as Swagger and Postman.
• Experience with AWS Cloud environments, automated CI/CD pipelines, and behavior-driven development (BDD) using Cucumber.
• 3+ years of experience with TypeScript, React, and Redux.
• 5–7 years of overall experience in web application and UI development, including tools and technologies such as Jest, Webpack, RESTful APIs, HTML5, and CSS3.
• Experience building new web applications, leading major technical proofs of concept (POCs), and developing higher-order reusable UI components such as dashboards, widgets, and custom tables.
• Ability to work effectively under pressure and within tight timelines.
• Passion for technology and a strong desire to contribute in a collaborative, team-oriented environment.
