Your Responsibilities
As an Instructor, Forestry Training for Marketing/Sales located in Moline, Illinois , you will:
- Deliver instructor-led training sessions to John Deere dealers, internal employees, and customers, focusing on Forestry products and solutions.
- Design and develop innovative, efficient learning materials to enhance dealership and customer engagement and knowledge retention.
- Create technical bulletins, competitive product comparisons, and comprehensive training documentation to support product understanding and field performance.
- Provide support for trade shows, collaborate with Product Marketing Managers and the Forestry Sales team, and assist the training center team as needed

What Skills You Need
- Expert-level understanding and instructional capability in hydraulic, electrical, powertrain, and CAN systems
- Adaptive teaching style with the ability to tailor learning techniques to suit diverse audiences
- In-depth knowledge of customer applications involving TimberMatic Mapping technology and its integration into forestry operations
- Strong verbal communication and presentation skills, paired with excellent technical writing abilities
- Highly self-motivated and capable of working independently with minimal supervision
- Ability to travel up to 50% based on business needs
What Makes You Stand Out
- Solid understanding of the John Deere dealer channel, including its structure and operational dynamics
- Extensive knowledge of forestry products, customer needs, market trends, and competitive landscape
- Hands-on technical experience with hydraulic, electrical, powertrain, and CAN systems, supporting both instruction and troubleshooting
- Practical experience operating forestry equipment, enhancing instructional credibility and real-world relevance
- Familiarity with the ADDIE instructional design model, including adult learning theory, curriculum development, needs assessments, and effective presentation techniques
Education
Ideally you will have a degree or equivalent related work experience in the following:
- Bachelor's degree in Technical, Engineering, Construction management, Marketing discipline and/or equivalent work experience
