Job Description

My client is seeking an  experienced Full-Stack Developer  to support enhancements and feature development on an existing legacy application with a tight delivery deadline. This is a highly hands-on role in an Agile environment, ideal for developers who can ramp quickly, work independently, and contribute immediately across the full stack. The team has all requirements mapped out and needs strong execution to deliver by the end of August.

Developers must be comfortable working across Angular (front end), Java (middle tier), and PostgreSQL (backend) and collaborating in daily standups with minimal oversight.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain front-end components using Angular (v9 )

• Implement business logic and APIs in the Java middle tier

• Design, write, and optimize PostgreSQL (v17) schemas, queries, and stored procedures

• Build and maintain end-to-end full-stack solutions across UI, application, and database layers

• Integrate front-end applications with back-end services and APIs

• Perform debugging, performance tuning, and issue resolution across the full stack

• Participate in Agile ceremonies including daily standups and code reviews

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver scalable, maintainable solutions

Required Skills & Experience

• 5 years of full-stack development experience

• Strong experience with Angular (version 9 or newer)

• Hands-on experience with Java (middle-tier / web services)

• Strong PostgreSQL experience (version 17 preferred)

• Experience working on existing/legacy applications

• Comfortable working in low-touch, fast-paced Agile environments

• Ability to ramp quickly and deliver against tight deadlines

• Strong problem-solving skills and business mindset

Nice to Have

• Experience modernizing or enhancing legacy systems

• Prior experience working in short, high-urgency delivery cycles

• Familiarity with Jira and Agile development workflows

Additional Details

• Fully remote after initial 1–2 weeks onsite in Chicago

• Candidates local to the Chicago area preferred, but travel will be covered if needed

• Daily standups typically between 9–10 AM EST

• This is a short development window with clearly defined requirements
