HSHS St. Elizabeth's Hospital is seeking a PRN MRI Technologist to join our Imaging team. Under the direction of the radiologist, the MRI Technologist performs high-quality MRI procedures to assist physicians in diagnosing and treating patients.

The ideal candidate will provide exceptional patient care while following physician orders, accurately positioning patients, preparing and operating MRI equipment, and ensuring quality images are obtained for interpretation.

New graduates are encouraged to apply. Candidates at the MRI Technologist I and MRI Technologist II levels will be considered. Placement and compensation will be determined based on experience, qualifications, and meeting position requirements.

Position Specifics:
o Department: MRI
o Core Function: Imaging
o Schedule: PRN; rotating day and evening shifts based on department needs. Day shift coverage is typically 6:30am-3:00pm, and evening coverage can range from 2:00pm-12:00am. Open to accommodating 8, 10, or 12 hour shifts based on candidate preference and department needs. No required on-call responsibilities; however, availability to assist with call coverage when able is preferred.

Pay Range: $32.58 - $40.73 - $48.87

MRI Tech II
Pay Range: $34.21 - $42.76 - $51.31

MRI Tech II

Education Qualifications

  • Associates degree in allied health, applied/radiologic science or certificate program is required.

Experience Qualifications

  • 2 years of Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) experience is required.

Certifications, Licenses and Registrations

  • One of the following is required:

  • Certification as a Registered Technologist in Radiography (R.T.(R)) by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT), with Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MR) credential.

  • Certification as a Registered Technologist in Magnetic Resonance Imaging (R.T.(MR)) by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).

  • Certification as a Registered Technologist by the American Registry of Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technologists (ARMRIT).

  • Basic Life Support (BLS) is required.

MRI Tech I
Education Qualifications

  • Associates degree in allied health, applied/radiologic science or certificate program is required.

Experience Qualifications

  • 1 year of Radiology Technology experience preferred.

Certifications, Licenses and Registrations

  • One of the following is required:
  • Certification or registry eligible as a Registered Technologist in Radiography (R.T.(R)) or a Registered Technologist in Magnetic Resonance Imaging (R.T.(MR)) by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
  • Certification or registry eligible as a Registered Technologist by the American Registry of Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technologists (ARMRIT).
  • Certification must be obtained within 6 months of hire/transfer.
  • If certified through ARRT, Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MR) certification/registry is preferred.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) required.
