DSO Business Development Specialist

Enjoy the flexibility of a hybrid schedule after your first three months with two days from home and the remainder on site in Schaumburg, IL. This position is primarily onsite.

BISCO is seeking an ambitious DSO Business Development Specialist to join our thriving organization. We are an internationally recognized manufacturer of medical devices for the dental industry, specializing in the advancement and research of adhesive and composite technology. Our Business Development Specialist will play an important part in helping us grow.


This Account Manager is responsible for new business development and management of sales accounts in emerging and mid-market Dental Service Organizations (DSOs). The position reports to the Sr. Special Markets Manager.


The right candidate will have excellent written and verbal English communication skills, exceptional customer service, and ability to be an active listener.

Salary range: $73,000 – $86,000 commensurate with experience.

Work hours: 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday-Friday.

Duties and Responsibilities for the Account Manager:
  • Prospect for potential customers using various direct methods (e.g., phone calls, emails, video conferencing, face-to-face meetings) and indirect methods (e.g., networking and event attendance).
  • Maintain opportunities via CRM (HubSpot)
  • Identify potential customers’ structure / processes such as organization’s decision-makers, market, size, structure, hierarchy, vulnerabilities, objectives, formulary, target pricing, order channel, willingness to work with a direct vendor, preferred terms, corporate or office level billing, procurement process.
  • Assist in developing pricing proposals, custom catalogs, completing RFPs, and route internal price authorizations. Facilitate requests for clinical evaluations.
  • Work with our Creative Team to develop tools for Inside Sales staff to engage with DSO offices. Provide Sales Support team with precise details of new DSO ERP setup.
  • Schedule regular follow-ups with DSOs to gather new location information and make new formulary recommendations.
  • Assist and participate in personnel training activities.
  • Provide progress reports of key roles to sales management.
  • Some local and overnight travel.
Requirements for the Business Development Specialist:
  • 3+ years successful territory or key account management. Medical, orthodontic, or dental sales experience preferred.
  • Associates degree or certification in dental profession. Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Ability to drive vehicle with valid driver’s license and automobile insurance.
  • Ability to travel via air with valid travel ID.
  • General computer skills (e.g., Windows, email, internet). Proficient in MS Office.
  • Able to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally
  • Legally authorized to work in the U.S. and do not now, and will not in the future, require sponsorship for employment visa status to work for our company
