The role
We are seeking a strategic and dynamic Production Supervisor to lead our efforts in manufacturing operations and team performance. This role is responsible for supervising departmental employees, driving productivity and quality results, ensuring safety compliance, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives. The ideal candidate is an innovative, data‑driven leader with a passion for people development, operational excellence, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement and accountability.
This position is based on‑site at our Chicago, IL facility and reports to the Operations Manager as part of the Operations team.
What You’ll Do
- Supervise and coordinate daily activities of department employees to meet or exceed productivity and quality standards.
- Lead the department in a manner that promotes safety, teamwork, high morale, and continuous improvement.
- Ensure compliance with all safety requirements, company policies, and emergency procedures.
- Manage employee performance through training, assessments, documentation, and fair resolution of issues in partnership with Human Resources.
- Communicate operational priorities and updates to team leads and department employees to support efficient and safe operations.
- Coordinate cross‑functional support with Maintenance, Tooling, and other departments to resolve production, equipment, and quality issues.
- Accurately complete and maintain all required documentation, reports, and records related to production, quality, and personnel activities.
Who you are
- High School Diploma required; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Minimum of two (2) years of experience with direct supervision of staff, preferably in the automotive manufacturing industry.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and Access.
- Knowledge of departmental procedures and production-related guidelines.
- Ability to handle and maintain confidential information with discretion.
- Strong technical, organizational, and communication skills.
- Multilingual capabilities are a plus.
Health, Safety, Physical & Travel Requirements
- Physical demands include a combination of sitting, standing, and walking, with sufficient mobility to navigate both office and plant environments.
- Ability to perform standard computer-based tasks as part of daily responsibilities.
- Willingness and ability to travel up to 5% as required by the role.
- Must possess a valid driver’s license.

The pay range for this role is $67,500 – $72,000 per year. This role is also eligible for bonus or incentive pay. The listed range represents a good-faith estimate at the time of posting; actual compensation may vary based on experience, skills, and location and is subject to change.
