We are looking for Class A CDL Drivers for a local intermodal position based in Chicago, IL . This role offers daily home time , consistent freight, and steady weekly earnings.
Drivers will run regional lanes throughout the Midwest while returning home daily, operating primarily during overnight hours.
What You'll Do- Haul intermodal freight across IL, WI, MI, IA, and IN
- Operate mainly drop & hook loads with no-touch freight
- Average ~1,800 miles per week
- Run consistent night routes with predictable schedules
- Average Weekly Pay: $1,200
- Mileage Pay: $0.62 CPM
- Per Load Pay: $20 per load
Additional Pay:
- Night differential: +$0.06 CPM
- Weekend differential: +$0.12 CPM
- Home daily
- 5-day work week (optional 6th day available)
- Night shift with weekend hours as needed
- Intermodal containers
- Drop & hook focused
- Slip seat operation possible
- Valid Class A CDL
- Minimum 6 months of CDL-A experience
- Must live within 25 miles of Chicago, IL (60608)
- Ability to pass background check and drug screening
- Comfortable with night driving and city traffic
