They are expanding into the Energy Storage Systems market, and they have an opening on their team for a Sales Engineer. This candidate will work remotely; ideally be located in Illinois, Indiana, Michigan or Wisconsin; and be accustomed to a heavy travel schedule.

Sales Engineer ideal candidate will have a strong background in providing expert guidance to customers and internal teams on complex technical products and solutions. Skilled in translating technical specifications into customer value, supporting sales teams with product knowledge, application insights, and troubleshooting expertise. Proven ability to build strong client relationships, deliver tailored solutions, and drive customer satisfaction through responsive and knowledgeable support. Experience in the ESS sector highly preferred.

Sales Engineer Key Responsibilities include:

• Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with strategic accounts across targeted market segments.
• Identify customer pain points and deliver tailored, solution-oriented recommendations.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with R&D, Product Management, and Sales teams to develop customized, application-specific solutions.
• Lead technical engagements, supporting sales efforts, product testing, and validation processes.
• Analyze market trends and monitor competitor activities to uncover new business opportunities in the Energy Storage Systems (ESS) domain.
• Create and present persuasive technical proposals and presentations to internal and external stakeholders.
• Provide end-to-end support for new projects, guiding them from initial concept through to full implementation.
