Travel Nursing Job Details Location: Chicago, IL 60612 (Illinois nursing jobs) Assignment Type: Travel ER RN Healthcare Setting: Level 1 Trauma Center, Emergency Department Start Date: September 2, 2025 End Date: December 2, 2025 Duration: 13-week contract Shifts: 3x12-hour night shifts (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM) Hours per Week: 36 Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend (2 weekends per month) Floating: Mandatory float within facility and to other units within 50 miles Charting System: Cerner Scrub Color: Navy Blue (not provided) Parking: $2/day with shuttle service Estimated Weekly Salary Range: $1910 - $1960 Registered Nurse Qualifications Minimum 2 years recent acute care experience in Emergency Department (ER RN experience) Active Illinois Registered Nurse license (must be in hand at submission) BLS, ACLS, NIHSS, and PALS certifications required COVID-19 and Flu vaccines required (no COVID-19 exemptions; medical/religious exemptions for Flu only) Experience with Cerner charting system preferred Ability to float as needed within scope of practice Must complete compliance requirements and lab work promptly upon assignment acceptance ER RN Responsibilities Deliver high-quality, compassionate nursing care in a fast-paced Emergency Department Perform triage, assessment, and treatment of patients with acute and critical conditions Manage arterial lines, central lines, IV vasopressors, ventilated patients, and multisystem organ dysfunction/failure Interpret ABGs and dysrhythmias; provide continuous IV sedation as needed Implement isolation precautions and respond to emergencies efficiently Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes Float to other units as required, utilizing a team-based model when outside primary competency Apply now to join our healthcare team and take the next step in your travel nursing career in Chicago, Illinois!
