Senior Audit & Assurance Associate
We are looking for a Senior Audit & Assurance Associate to support high-level client projects in Lincolnshire, IL within a collaborative public accounting environment. This position is designed for a CPA or CPA-eligible professional who wants meaningful engagement exposure while maintaining a more balanced schedule than traditional public accounting workloads. The role focuses on audit execution, client interaction, and quality assurance while working with leadership teams in Lincolnshire, IL .
The selected candidate will participate in managing assurance engagements across multiple industries while helping ensure technical accuracy and professional service delivery. This role emphasizes professional growth, structured project coordination, and client relationship support for organizations operating in Lincolnshire, IL .
In this position, you will contribute to audit planning, financial statement review, and documentation management . The job is centered on maintaining high-quality reporting standards , supporting engagement teams, and communicating effectively with clients in Lincolnshire, IL .
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and support audit and assurance engagements from planning through completion in Lincolnshire, IL.
- Prepare, review, and verify financial statements, audit workpapers, and supporting schedules.
- Coordinate engagement activities with managers and team members to ensure service consistency in Lincolnshire.
- Provide guidance and technical support to junior accounting staff working on audit assignments.
- Apply strong analytical, organizational, and project management skills when handling assurance tasks.
- Maintain professional communication with clients , addressing inquiries and offering practical solutions.
- Stay current with accounting standards, regulations, and audit best practices .
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field; advanced degree is preferred .
- CPA-eligible candidates required; CPA certification is strongly preferred.
- Minimum 3 years of public accounting experience , including senior associate or supervisory-level audit exposure .
- Experience in audit and assurance services , preferably including exposure to construction, manufacturing, technology, or M&A engagements.
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office applications and accounting software tools .
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a client-focused mindset.
