Location: Federal Correctional Institution (FCI) Marion Marion, IL

Contract Type: Full-Time / Contract

Schedule: Typically Monday through Friday (standard business hours), excluding Federal Holidays.

Role Overview

We are seeking qualified and reliable Dental Assistants to provide high-quality dental support services at FCI Marion. In this role, you will work closely with the dental staff to ensure efficient clinical operations and provide essential oral healthcare to the inmate population within a secure federal environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Clinical Support: Assist the Dentist in restorative, oral surgery, periodontics, and endodontic procedures.
• Radiography: Capture high-quality intra-oral and extra-oral X-rays as directed.
• Sterilization: Maintain strict infection control by sterilizing instruments and preparing dental operatories.
• Administrative: Maintain accurate patient dental records, schedule appointments, and manage dental supplies/inventory.
• Safety & Security: Adhere to all Bureau of Prisons (BOP) security regulations and institutional protocols.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Experience: Minimum of six (6) months of experience as a Dental Assistant.
• Certification: Must possess a valid Dental Assistant certification (Radiology certification required).
• CPR Certification: Must hold a current Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross.
• Background: Must be able to pass a comprehensive federal background investigation and drug screening for site clearance.
• Professionalism: Ability to work effectively in a high-security correctional environment with a diverse team.
