Pharmacy Intake Specialist

responsibilities:
- Execute the intake process by entering patient applications into the Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system with high accuracy.
- Manage digital documentation by tagging and associating images with specific patient files, including demographics, physician details, and drug information.
- Conduct initial assessments of applications to identify missing information and initiate outreach to patients or providers to secure required data.
- Analyze financial and insurance data , including household income and pharmacy benefit details, to ensure applications meet program criteria.
- Coordinate workflow by identifying the appropriate business rules and collaborating cross-functionally to ensure policy compliance.
- Maintain comprehensive records within the CRM, ensuring every case is documented according to established business rules.
- Support program cycles by assisting with renewal and year-end recertification processes and managing physical incoming/outgoing mail.
qualifications:
Required Skills & Experience
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
- Experience: 1-3 years of experience in an office or administrative setting.
- Technical: Strong computer proficiency and the ability to learn new CRM software quickly.
- Communication: Ability to express ideas clearly through both written and oral channels.
- Physical/Operational: Ability to sit, stand, and carry heavy objects; flexibility to work shifts between 7 AM - 7 PM and commit to mandatory overtime (up to 10 hours/week) as needed.
- Availability: Must have no pre-planned time off within the first 90 days of employment.
- Education: College degree or 2-year Associate Degree.
- Industry Knowledge: Prior exposure to core insurance knowledge, specifically Medical and Pharmacy Benefits.
- Soft Skills: High-quality customer service skills and the ability to work independently with minimal direction.
