Insulation technician - contractor

Job Summary:

We are currently seeking skilled and motivated Insulation Technicians to join our team as independent contractors. This role involves the installation of various types of insulation materials (blown-in cellulose, spray foam, batt insulation) in attics, walls, and crawlspaces. Ideal candidates have prior experience in insulation or related construction fields and a strong commitment to safety and precision.

Key Responsibilities:

• Install insulation materials in residential and light commercial buildings.
• Assess insulation needs and ensure proper material coverage and installation techniques.
• Prepare job sites, including removal of old insulation and sealing of gaps.
• Operate and maintain insulation equipment and tools.
• Follow safety protocols and building codes.
• Communicate clearly with homeowners, project managers, and team members.
• Document work performed and ensure quality control on every job.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience in insulation installation (blown-in, spray foam, batt).
• Familiarity with tools and machinery used in insulation.
• Ability to work in confined spaces (attics, crawlspaces).
• Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
• Reliable transportation and valid driver's license.
• English or Spanish language skills (not required but a plus).
• SSN or ITIN for tax purposes.

Compensation:

$18–$26 per hour based on experience and skill level.
