Workday Finance Application Analyst

Job Description

A client of Insight Global is looking for a remote finance application analyst to work within their financial department under the reporting and analytics team. This analyst will be responsible for work activities like the design, build, test, implementation, and migration of reports, including management of the review and sign off process with Functional Leads. This role understands the design and security of the Workday solution and the impact of providing reports to user. This team will handle both simple and complex reports, including matrix, advanced and composite reports, utilizing Workday Report Writer, Prism, Discovery Boards, Office Connect, Worksheets, Dashboards and Analytics as well as other organizational tools and available technologies with a focus on design and performance. This candidate needs to come from a financial background and must have a strong background in writing reports all finance modules, such as grants, GL, payroll, cash management, projects, assets, customer accounts, and endowments. They will need to be very analytical in order to identify trends, opportunities, and identify reusable reports. This position is remote but must sit in AL, AK, AR, AZ, DE, FL, GA, IA, ID, IN, LA, KS, KY, ME, MI, MO, MS, MT, NC, ND, NE, NH, NM, NV, OH, OK, PA, SC, SD, TN, TX, UT, VA, WI, WV, or WY.

Skills and Requirements

• 3-5 years of experience and within a finance background

• Experience working with workday finance modules- THIS IS A MUST!!!

• Bachelor's degree in related field

• Experience with ticketing systems like ServiceNow

• Strong proficiency in excel and financial modeling

• Ability to write reports for all finance modules, such as grants, GL, payroll, cash management, projects, assets, customer accounts, endowments

• Basic finance knowledge and the accuracy of flipping signs in financial reports - Workday Pro Financial Reporting certification (Big push for this!)

• Workday Prism experience

• Healthcare experience

• ServiceNow experience
