Senior Applications Engineer

The Senior Applications Engineer serves as the technical lead for New Product Introduction (NPI), translating customer and user needs into clear design inputs and guiding products through the full stage-gate process. The role partners with Sales, Engineering, and Marketing to assess feasibility, manage design risk, support customer engagement, and deliver successful launches for complex, strategic programs.

Responsibilities

Lead technical execution of NPI programs from concept through validation.

Translate customer requirements into design inputs and resolve design gaps.

Oversee design activities, drawing reviews, and technical analyses.

Lead verification and validation to ensure requirements are met.

Provide cost estimates for quoting and business development.

Support Sales with customer engagements and technical discussions.

Assess technical risks and support quoting using CRM/ERP tools.

Address feasibility issues and negotiate technical requirements.

Track engineering KPIs and drive corrective actions.

Mentor team members and support major customer programs.

This is a Permanent position based out of Elk Grove Village, IL.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $120000.00 - $130000.00/yr.
