Quality Technician

job summary:
A Quality Technician is needed for the world's largest food and beverage company in the Dublin, OH area. This role involves conducting analytical laboratory tests and sample preparations, managing data accuracy, and supporting quality assurance processes to ensure reliable results within a regulated production environment.

responsibilities:

• Performs and documents routine and complex sample processing and assays using standard laboratory methods.

• Registers, weighs, and physically homogenizes samples for analytical testing and data entry.

• Operates and maintains basic laboratory equipment such as balances, pH meters, and autoclaves.

• Prepares and ensures the accuracy of chemical standards and reagents required for various analyses.

• Functions as the primary data generator, calculating results and evaluating them for accuracy.

• Conducts preliminary data interpretations and drafts summary reports for supervisory review.

• Assists in the establishment and maintenance of Quality Assurance (QA) documents, plans, and ICPs.

• Identifies process bottlenecks and participates in Lean Laboratory initiatives to improve efficiency.

• Coordinates and plans assigned workloads with other technicians and scientists in a team environment.

• Troubleshoots equipment and performs minor repairs or modifications to ensure reliable working order.

Skills:

• Basic computer skills (Microsoft Office Applications: Outlook, Word, Excel, etc.)

• Ability to perform trained tasks at an above base level efficiency pace.

• Ability to review and synthesize conclusions from analytical data.

• Contributes to a team environment and builds effective relationships.

• Speaks up and gives productive feedback.

• Moderate learning agility with ability to pick up new skills in a timely manner.

• Can execute non routine tasks with little supervision.

Education and Experience:

• High School diploma or equivalent required, undergraduate degree in closely related science preferred (i.e. Microbiology, Chemistry, Biology, et al).

• Relevant academic coursework or 1 year practical relevant experience in an analytical laboratory preferred.
