Director of GH Patient Access

The Director of Patient Access directs and coordinates all daily functions for scheduling, prior authorization, registration, and the switchboard within Graham Hospital. The department acts as the system’s primary contact for access to care, registration, patient estimates, and out of pocket expenses. The Director assists with the development of policies, procedures, and processes to ensure the highest quality services are provided consistently to all patients. All communications are conducted in a manner that will result in positive patient relations and prompt payment for the organization. The Director of Patient Access reports directly to the Senior Director of Revenue Cycle.

Position Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in a business or healthcare related field preferred

Minimum of five years applicable experience with progressively more responsible supervisory or management experience

Minimum of five years’ experience working directly with payors

Position Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:

Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills

Strong time management and organizational skills

Ability to make quality, independent decisions

Ability to work effectively and efficiently under tight deadlines, high volumes, and multiple interruptions

Competency in the use of a variety of computer hardware and software systems

Demonstrated skill in critical thinking, diplomacy, and relationship building

Strong background and knowledge in healthcare revenue cycle operations/principle

Director positions range up to $60,000-$75,000 annual salary, based on experience. Compensation InformationAll wages are determined by experience and skills; wage information will be discussed further upon interview selection.
