Mandarin-speaking Small Group PreK Teacher

Brain Builders Academy is seeking a joyful, curious, and trainable teacher to join our innovative PreK program. We’re a research-driven early elementary school that combines brain-based learning, immersive STEAM experiences, and individualized instruction to help children reach their full cognitive potential—often working years ahead of grade level. About Us:
Brain Builders Academy is not a traditional school. We’ve developed a proprietary curriculum and methodology based on neuroscience, developmental windows, and gifted education principles. Our approach blends elements of Reggio, Montessori, and Magic School Bus-style adventure—creating a playful, high-challenge environment for bright young minds. Students learn in groups of five or fewer, progressing at their own pace through interdisciplinary, hands-on projects that bring concepts to life.

What You’ll Do:

• Deliver small-group instruction to students ages 3-4 using our proprietary curriculum and learning model
• Receive training in Brain Builders' methodology and apply it with consistency and fidelity
• Facilitate immersive, interdisciplinary STEAM projects with a strong focus on science and inquiry-based learning
• Integrate math, literacy, and logic into themed explorations and hands-on experimentation
• Build engaging, nature-inspired experiences—expect mud, slime, paint, and the occasional exploding volcano
• Support gifted and accelerated learners through individualized pacing and challenge
• Help maintain a warm, respectful, and intellectually curious classroom environment

Who You Are:

• A fun, imaginative, and science-loving educator who genuinely enjoys working with children
• Comfortable learning a new methodology and eager to be trained in our curriculum approach
• Experienced in early childhood or elementary education, with strong STEAM foundations
• Flexible, creative, and confident adapting lessons on the fly to follow student curiosity
• Comfortable with play-based learning, open-ended exploration, and integrated academics
• Experienced (or interested) in working with gifted and advanced learners
• Excited to be part of a small, collaborative, fast-growing school redefining what early education can look like

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Early Childhood, Elementary Education, or related field
• Experience with Reggio Emilia, Montessori, or constructivist/inquiry-based models
• Background in science, STEAM, or gifted education
• Familiarity with NGSS or early logic/mathematics instruction is a plus
• Must live in the Chicagoland area. We are not sponsoring foreign employees at this time.
