The ideal candidate will be responsible for assisting attorneys in all stages of litigation matters. This candidate should feel comfortable conducting research, doing data entry, scheduling, maintaining case files, and completing other ad-hoc requests, as needed.

ABOUT THE JOB

MGS is seeking Litigation Paralegal in our Chicago office. The primary focus will be on casualty and commercial litigation and the successful candidate will be responsible for assisting on case files, legal research, preparing and filing legal documents, document review and analysis and more. This is an excellent opportunity for paralegals looking to learn litigation and trial work from experienced attorneys and take increased responsibility for cases while still being afforded the benefit of working in a team environment. This is a hybrid position, with a flexible blend of remote and in-office work.

ABOUT YOU

• Prior litigation experience;
• Ability to multitask and manage multiple deadlines;
• Strong attention to detail;
• Takes responsibility of tasks and follow-ups;

• Ability to analyze complex legal issues and produce top quality work.

Responsibilities

• Case management and organization
• Finalizing documents and e-filing
• Medical record and deposition analysis
• Issuing subpoenas, requests, discovery
• Coordinating schedules of attorneys, witnesses, clients

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or paralegal certificate
• 1-5 years' as Litigation Legal Assistant or Paralegal
• Experience in Odyssey, PACER, Lexis, Adobe, Co-Pilot
