Architectural Sales Specialist
Innovative Chemical Products Group (ICP Group) is a leading formulator and manufacturer of specialty coatings adhesives and sealants serving the construction and industrial end markets. ICP Group is headquartered in Andover MA and has manufacturing and distribution sites throughout North America Latin America UK Europe and the Asia Pacific region.
ICP Group is looking to hire an Architectural Sales Specialist to join our team. This role focuses on early project engagement and specification influence to drive the selection of ICP solutionsspecifically within the Environmental brand in construction projects nationwide. You will collaborate closely with both the sales and marketing teams to develop content build relationships and execute strategies aimed at securing ICP product placement in the design phase ensuring a smooth handoff to sales for project execution. This role is remote with travel. Key Responsibilities:- Build and maintain deep product knowledge in our Environmental brands including Benefect Fiberlock and other relevant ICP product categories.
- Review maintain and update ICPs library of specifications technical documents and CSI-formatted resources.
- Identify and uncover early-stage design and pre-bid projects by networking with Certified Industrial Hygienists architects specifiers engineers and other key influencers in the building design process.
- Submit and manage project specifications to secure ICP brands as the basis of design.
- Present ICPs brand value technical advantages and project solutions to design professionals contractors and owners.
- Transition specified projects to the sales team for follow-up pricing and closure.
- Cultivate strong relationships with leading specifiers to drive consistent product placement.
- Schedule and deliver architect presentations and educational sessions (lunch-and-learns webinars in-person events).
- Engage with relevant industry associations to expand brand reach and credibility.
- Represent ICP as a product expert at industry trade shows technical seminars and networking events.
- Coordinate with ICPs Sales teams to close project-level opportunities.
- Work with ICPs Lead Generation team to develop a pipeline of design-phase opportunities.
- Partner with ICPs Product Management team on relevant product development and positioning projects.
- Utilize Salesforce CRM to manage daily activities track project status and maintain an accurate opportunity pipeline.
- Bachelors degree in a related field or equivalent relevant experience.
- Minimum 3 years in a similar architectural specification or project development role.
- Proven experience in early project engagement architectural conversations and specification writing.
- Experience in Abatement as a Contractor and/or Environmental Contractor
- Involvement with the Environmental Information Association (EIA) or has obtained abatement certifications or education
- Familiarity w/ Asbestos Lead & IAQ Regulations
- Potential candidates may be a Certified Industrial Hygienist(CIH) Industrial Hygienist(IH) and/or actively working within the environmental consulting and engineering field.
- Strong organizational skills time management and verbal/written communication abilities.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook Teams Excel PowerPoint).
- Experience with Salesforce or similar CRM.
- Ability to create/write CSI-formatted specification documents.
- Comfortable working in a remote/WFH environment.
- Ability to travel approximately 30%.
