Are you an experienced HR professional with a background in the construction industry and proficiency in UKG? One of Robert Half’s clients is urgently seeking an HR Generalist to step into a vital role covering general HR operations and ensuring smooth onboarding, open enrollment, and talent acquisition processes for their Chicago-based team. This is a contract opportunity that is 100% on site on the Northwest side of Chicago!

Responsibilities:

• Provide expert guidance and support on employee relations matters, ensuring compliance with company policies and legal regulations.

• Manage and oversee HR administrative tasks, including maintaining accurate records and documentation.

• Coordinate and execute onboarding processes to ensure new hires have a seamless transition into the organization.

• Administer employee benefits programs, addressing inquiries and ensuring timely enrollment and updates.

• Utilize HRIS systems to manage employee data and generate reports for decision-making purposes.

• Develop and implement HR policies and initiatives to enhance workplace culture and efficiency.

• Foster strong communication channels between employees and management to address concerns and promote engagement.

• Collaborate with leadership to support workforce planning and organizational development.

• Monitor industry trends and best practices to continuously improve HR processes and strategies.

• Proven experience within the Construction industry

• Experience working within UKG

• Proven experience in employee relations and HR administration.

• Familiarity with onboarding procedures and best practices.

• Strong knowledge of employee benefits programs and related regulations.

• Excellent organizational and multitasking skills in a fast-paced environment.

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills to build relationships and resolve conflicts.

• Ability to collaborate effectively with teams and leadership.

• Comprehensive understanding of employment laws and regulations.
