Overview
Our team is committed to changing the way people read and with our exponential growth, we are looking for a strong QA engineer to help us succeed through testing mobile applications. We love a commitment to quality and risk assessment, maintaining documentation, and curiosity of testing trends and industry standards.
This is a full-time remote role and can be based anywhere globally.
What You’ll Do
- Develop and execute test plans, test cases, and test scripts for the Speechify iOS app, ensuring comprehensive coverage for both manual and automated testing.
- Collaborate with the development team to identify, reproduce, and document issues and defects in the iOS app.
- Utilize and maintain automation tools and frameworks for iOS, such as Appium, to increase efficiency and reduce manual testing efforts.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends, tools, and best practices in iOS testing and automation.
- Create and maintain test documentation, including test plans, test cases, and test summaries, ensuring they are clear, concise, and up-to-date.
- Communicate testing results, progress, and issues to project stakeholders, including developers, product managers, and customer support teams.
- Participate in agile development processes, attending daily stand-ups, sprint planning sessions, and retrospectives.
- Continuously identify opportunities for process and tool improvements, and work with the team to implement these enhancements.
An ideal candidate should have
- B.S. in Computer Science, related technical field or equivalent experience
- 3+ years of experience in QA engineering, with a focus on iOS testing
- Strong understanding of iOS app development and testing processes, including familiarity with Apple's Human Interface Guidelines and the App Store submission process.
- Experience with continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD) pipelines, such as Bitrise, CircleCI.
- Solid understanding of Agile methodologies and experience working in an Agile environment.
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify, analyze, and resolve issues in a timely manner.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Experience with version control systems, such as Git.
Nice-to-Have:
- Experience with text-to-speech technologies.
- Familiarity with accessibility testing and guidelines, such as WCAG.

Salary
- The United States base salary range for this full-time position is $140,000-$200,000 + bonus + equity depending on experience
