Prep Cook
Key Responsibilities
Prepare ingredients according to recipes and chef specifications (wash, cut, portion, marinate, etc.)
Measure and portion food items consistently
Label and store products following FIFO and food safety standards
Maintain clean and organized prep stations
Assist line cooks and chefs with daily mise en place
Receive and properly store deliveries
Follow sanitation, safety, and hygiene procedures at all times
Operate kitchen equipment safely (knives, slicers, mixers, etc.)
Help with basic cooking tasks as needed
Maintain prep lists and communicate low inventory items
Previous kitchen or food prep experience preferred
Basic knife skills and food handling knowledge
Ability to follow recipes and instructions precisely
Strong attention to detail and organization
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Team player with a positive attitude
Flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays
Food Handler Certification (or willingness to obtain)
Ability to stand for extended periods
Able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs
Comfortable working in hot and cold environments
