Staff Accountant - Manufacturing / Industrial / Multi-Company Operations

Position Summary
The Staff Accountant supports day-to-day accounting operations for multiple manufacturing entities, ensuring accurate financial reporting, general ledger integrity, and compliance with internal controls. This role works closely with operations, AP/AR, and leadership in a fast-paced, evolving environment that includes new entity setup, system implementations, and acquisition integration.
The ideal candidate brings strong manufacturing accounting experience, the ability to manage multiple legal entities, and adaptability within startup, growth, and internationally visible organizations.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts for multiple domestic and international manufacturing entities
- Prepare and post journal entries, accruals, and adjustments in compliance with GAAP
- Support month-end and year-end close processes across multiple companies and currencies
- Perform account reconciliations including bank, inventory, fixed assets, prepaid expenses, and intercompany accounts
- Assist with cost accounting activities, including inventory valuation, standard costing, and variance analysis
- Support intercompany transactions, eliminations, and reconciliations
- Assist in preparation of financial statements and internal reporting packages for leadership and global stakeholders
- Ensure compliance with GAAP, internal controls, and company accounting policies
- Support internal and external audits by preparing schedules, reconciliations, and documentation
- Collaborate with operations, supply chain, and finance teams to investigate and resolve discrepancies
- Assist with process improvements, accounting automation, and ERP/system enhancements
- Support accounting activities related to acquisitions, entity integrations, and business transitions
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
- 5+ years of accounting experience, preferably in manufacturing or industrial environments
- Experience supporting multiple companies, locations, or legal entities
- Strong knowledge of cost accounting and inventory accounting
- Solid understanding of GAAP and internal controls
- Proficient in ERP systems and Microsoft Excel
- Intermediate to advanced Excel skills (VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, invoice summaries, data analysis)
- High attention to detail with strong organizational and analytical skills
- Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced, evolving environment
- Willingness to travel up to 10%
Additional Skills & Experience (Startup, Implementation & Global Focus)
- Experience working in startup, growth-stage, or newly integrated organizations
- Exposure to accounting system implementations, upgrades, or ERP rollouts
- Experience supporting acquisitions, mergers, or entity integrations, including chart-of-accounts alignment and process standardization
- Ability to operate effectively in lean teams with changing priorities
- Experience working with international entities, including intercompany activity and global reporting coordination
- Strong cross-functional communication skills with operations, leadership, and international teams
- Process-improvement mindset with the ability to document and standardize accounting procedures
Preferred Skills
- Manufacturing ERP experience (Microsoft Dynamics, Great Plains, SYSPRO)
- Intercompany accounting and consolidation experience
- Audit support experience (internal and external) CPA or CMA preferred

Pay: $100,000.00 - $115,000.00 per year
