Reports directly to the President and is charged with developing and maintaining a system to ensure that all products manufactured by the organization meet customer specifications and achieve superior quality and reliability levels.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Develops and implements a quality production program to ensure conformity of purchased material and final products to quality standards.
• Revises and updates the Quality Control Manual to incorporate statistical control programs.
• Develops and maintains a Supplier Quality Index, utilizing statistical control programs to ensure that only high quality vendors are retained.
• Meets with vendors, customers, quality representatives and company personnel to discuss and resolve quality problems as required.
• Prepares for and represents Eakas during all TS16949 and customer related audits.
• Coordinates and approves all sample submission of new products and engineering.
• Prepares all necessary reports as required by customers and staff personnel.
• Meets quality targets given by customer/corporation.

ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Must maintain TS16949 certification.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Statistical analysis, precision measurement, and process capability studies are an intricate part of the quality assurance program, therefore, formal education in courses related to these areas, such as, mathematics, statistics, and industrial practices are essential for this position. College degree or equivalent experience required.
• Some quality assurance practices as they apply to individual unique products can be learned during on-the-job training, but overall capability in this discipline must be previously demonstrated.

RELATIONSHIPS AND CONTACTS:

• Reports directly to the President and is responsible for product quality. As such, all supervisors/QC Engineers with the manufacturing operations will be reporting to this position in all matters concerning quality.
• Essential contact with all levels of customer organizations.
