Job Description
This position is responsible for all project management activities for Fortune Brands driving growth through the execution of FBIN product plans, platform road maps, innovation strategies and continuous improvement cost savings plans. This position develops collaborative relationships with leaders in Marketing, Sales, Industrial Design and Global Operations enabling successful project execution. This position is a working-leader position—the successful candidate will lead a team of project managers and simultaneously manage his/her own projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage a team of direct and indirect reports including Senior Project Managers and Project Managers in the US, Asia, and Mexico.
- Collaborate with key Marketing, Platforms and Global Operations leaders to shape strategies that reach net sales, share gain and cost savings goals.
- Manage and drive new product projects for FBIN. Manage and drive projects to reach annual Continuous Improvement cost savings goals.
- Create clear, concise communication of goals and objectives for each project.
- Launch projects on time and hit all key milestones. Communicate and resolve project impediments.
- Ensure alignment with all business partners on strategies prior to stage gates.
- Maintain FBIN’s portfolio management process and culture to assure the team’s focus on the right projects with the right people while maximizing the BU’s performance.
- Manage team resources to provide flexibility to cover projects across FBIN
- Manage annual capital and project expense budgets for team
- Collaborate with leaders across to optimize and drive process improvements across FBIN.
- Drive personal growth through frequent 1:1’s and through the execution of robust individual development plans for every associate on the team.
Qualifications
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience is required; a Master’s degree is a plus.
- Minimum of 8 years of relevant experience in project oriented team participation; Minimum of 5 years of project management experience with direct reports.
- Must possess advanced computer skills (Excel, PowerPoint, and Word).
- Strong penchant for collaboration with technical, industrial design, supply chain, financial and marketing professionals.
- Must demonstrate and provide examples of executive level exposure and presentations.
- Team player with good interpersonal skills to lead/coach cross-functional teams.
- Ability to travel 10-20% (including 1-2 trips to Asia annually)
Additional Information
Fortune Brands believes in fair and equitable pay. A reasonable estimate of the base salary range for this role is Hiring Pay Range: $105,000 USD - $165,000 USD. Please note that actual salaries may vary within the range, or be above or below the range, based on factors including, but not limited to, education, training, experience, professional achievement, business need, and location. In addition to base salary, employees will participate in either an annual bonus plan based on company and individual performance, or a role-based sales incentive plan.
