Marketing Content Specialist - Canva and SquareSpace

Location: Chicago, IL (remote / hybrid)
Hours: ~10-15 hours per week (flexible)
Compensation: Hourly (see below)
About Us

We are a Chicago-based team of Learning & Development consultants and Communication Coaches. We’re looking for someone detail-oriented and tech-savvy to help manage and enhance our digital content — from websites to newsletters to internal documents.
Role Overview

The Part-Time Marketing Content Specialist will support marketing operations by creating, editing, and publishing content primarily using Squarespace , as well as designing visual assets in Canva , and formatting documents in Microsoft Word . You’ll help maintain consistency, quality, and timeliness of marketing deliverables.
Key Responsibilities

Edit and maintain Squarespace pages (site updates, landing pages, blog posts)
Design, edit, and send Squarespace newsletters using content provided

Use Canva to create graphics, visual assets, social media posts, and marketing materials
Edit, format, and upload documents in Microsoft Word (and possibly PDF)
Collaborate with the team and designers to ensure brand consistency (fonts, colors, layouts)
Quality check all content (links, images, formatting) before publishing
Assist with ad hoc tasks: image resizing, content revisions, simple layout adjustments
Skills & Qualifications

Proven experience working with Squarespace (specifically newsletters)
Strong skills in Canva
Proficiency in Microsoft Word (formatting, editing)
Basic understanding of marketing content best practices
Excellent written communication, editing, and attention to detail
Must have excellent grammar + spelling skills
Ability to work independently and manage deadlines
Basic comfort with uploading files, dealing with media (images, documents)
Prior marketing, digital content, or web experience preferred
