Software Engineer
At IMO, a team of clinicians, software developers, and data scientists combine computer science and medical expertise to help patients and healthcare professionals' access high quality health information that improves patient outcomes. We’re seeking a Software Engineer to build high availability applications that power the extraction, enrichment, and structuring of clinical data, delivering value across the healthcare ecosystem. You’ll collaborate with engineering, product, and architecture teams to deliver reliable, scalable solutions, write clean and testable code, and support CI/CD best practices. This role is part of a team dedicated to developing high-availability products on the Content and Data Management Platform.
WHAT YOU’LL DO:
- Delivers quality code via unit and integration testing through a suite of automated tests.
- Performs basic source code management tasks at the direction of more senior software engineers.
- Works with the team who are responsible for coding, validating, debugging, reliability, performance analysis and the ongoing operational aspects of the product in an Agile environment.
- Troubleshoots and resolves low to moderate complexity software bugs or issues, with close direction from more senior software engineers, and finds the real root cause and provides an efficient fix.
- Follows development standards and effectively demonstrates technical solutions to other software engineers in code reviews.
- Coordinates with all cross functional teams to analyze issues.
- Develop and maintain user facing features using modern front-end technologies.
- Assist in building and maintaining backend services, APIs and databases.
- Works cooperatively with team members to manage conflict constructively and fosters trust, commitment, accountability.
- Delivers quality product leveraging the values of transparency, inspection and adaptation in an agile way.
- Implements creative solutions to technical challenges and embraces out-of-the-box thinking to apply knowledge and learning from various disciplines to create new or improve existing products.
- Be comfortable navigating AI technologies (Agents, Prompt Engineering, LLM’s) and identifying practical ways to apply them to enhance product functionality, user experience, or operational efficiency.
WHAT YOU’LL NEED:
- A relevant technical BA/ BS Degree and one year of experience, or three years of relevant professional experience in web-based software development, ideally full stack RESTful API.
- At least 1 year experience with at least one of the following general-purpose programming languages, including but not limited to: JavaScript, Angular(16+), Typescript, Python, C#, .NET, GoLang.
- A willingness to ask for help and able to communicate what you need to do your best work.
- Any amount of experience working with cloud technologies (AWS preferred).
- Any amount of experience software construction and principles.
- 1+ year exp development practices like test automation, CI/CD, source version control, etc.
- An academic degree in Computer Science or comparable discipline, or relevant experience in developing application.
$80,000 - $120,000 a year
Compensation at IMO Health is determined by job level, role requirements, and each candidate’s experience, skills, and location. The listed base pay represents the target for new hires with individual compensation varying accordingly. These figures exclude potential bonuses, equity, or sales incentives, which may also be part of the total compensation package.
