Summary:

The Sheet Metal Team member is integral to the production output necessary to satisfy ABH Mfg.'s customer base best. This role requires excellent communication and mechanical skills. The role includes operating punch presses and polishing and requires the ability to read the dimensions of a print. Assembly of our product line and following clear instructions is also critical to the role.

Scope of Area: - Sheet Metal Department

• CNC Department
• Stainless Steel Pin & Barrel Hinge
• Edge Guard
• Door Switch
• Architectural Pulls
• Machine Shop
• Welding Cell
• Raw Material Inventory
• Finished Goods Inventory – Specific to sheet metal product lines.
• HURCO – Machine operating

Responsibilities:

• Perform safety audits in conjunction with established Safety Protocols.
• Perform maintenance in conjunction with the established maintenance schedule.
• Assist the maintenance department in creating and improving preventive maintenance tasks.
• Monitor Daily, Weekly, Monthly, and Quarterly production.
• Communicate and collaborate effectively with other departments.
• Create and maintain an accurate inventory of all required consumables, chemicals, tooling, PPE gear, etc.
• Ensure finished goods are within established quality control protocol.

Must Haves:

• Advanced understanding of the Sheet Metal processes and equipment.
• Advanced understanding of material handling.
• Superior organizational skills.
• High level and understanding of people through the practice of patience & emotional quotient.
• Continued Education Plan for yourself and your team.

Physical Demands:

• Must be able to lift 40 lbs.
• Standing for your entire shift.
• Manual dexterity.
